  1. A new coworker of mine had this problem too. They had the wrong encryption key. Everything is starting to work correctly after we entered the correct encryption key.
  2. My normal view with 40 branches is quite fast to drag around. If I display all the branches, dragging is still doable but noticeably jerky. I have 4 "conditional branch formats", they are currently unchecked (disabled). The message "Downloading branch and changeset data" is displayed for 4 seconds, then "Loading filtered branches" for 2.5 seconds, then "Calculating branch explorer layout" for about 0.1 seconds. It sounds like I can only improve on this by using the date filter.
  3. I have four branch coloring options in "Filters and conditional format". If I uncheck the boxes for all of them, the time goes from 9 to 6 seconds. (and from 2 to 1.5 seconds on the smaller repository). Using a date filter to exclude almost everything does help a lot, but I prefer to not use that. An interesting thing is that it felt like there was just one day when I said "This is much slower than it was yesterday", I think it would have been at around 18000 changesets. Where can I find instructions on creating the client log?
  4. I'm using Plastic SCM 8.0.16.3442 on Windows with local repositories. I have 2 major repositories. One has about 3500 branches and 20000 changesets. The other one has about 80 branches and 5000 changesets. I use the Branch Explorer view primarily. I use attributes and conditional formats to hide most of the branches, less than 40 are displayed in both cases. The Branch Explorer view of the smaller repository refreshes in about 2 seconds. Refreshing the larger repository takes about 9 seconds. This is extremely long when switching branches and merging and creating new branches, with the UI refreshing itself several times. Is there any way to reduce this refresh time, short of starting a new repository with a copy of my current code? Thanks.
