  1. Hi,

if you have some issues or feedback about Plastic SCM / Unity version Control please open a ticket with us or use the Unity forums: https://forum.unity.com/forums/unity-version-control.605/

I can see you are using the legacy GUI for your initial feedback. This GUI was deprecated and removed from the installer. We need to review what of these errors are happening in the new GUI and fix them (not necessarily to use the very last Plastic version but at least the new GUI).

Note: Yes, I know there's the new GUI. It's so buggy and functionally behind the old one, that we can't use it in production. I did it a try, and sent some 30+ bug reports and UX hints, but can't use it as long as I get the following error twice a day:

Are you using AD authentication? If you open a ticket with us, we can propose a workaround to mitigate this error.

And this one when trying to do the same merge as above with the old GUI, so I even physically cannot do the same merge with the new GUI:

Please open a  ticket with us so we can debug the logs and fix this problem.

    Regards,

    Carlos.

  2. Hi,

The problem is we don't currently have an official zip/tar.gz installer for Linux. You will need to use these three links:
    https://plastic-releases.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/releases/11.0.16.7134/plasticscm/linux/PlasticSCM-11.0.16.7134-linux-client-core.tar.gz
    https://plastic-releases.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/releases/11.0.16.7134/plasticscm/linux/PlasticSCM-11.0.16.7134-gtkplastic.tar.gz
    https://plastic-releases.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/releases/11.0.16.7134/plasticscm/linux/PlasticSCM-11.0.16.7134-linux-theme.tar.gz

If you just need the CLI, this one should be enough (you can edit the version but use the same link format):
    https://plastic-releases.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/releases/11.0.16.7134/plasticscm/linux/PlasticSCM-11.0.16.7134-linux-client-core.tar.gz

    Regards,

    Carlos.

  3. Hi,

I think you are using the legacy plugin. You need to install the Version Control plugin via the Package Manager.

Even if you install the Version Control package, it is not officially supported for Unity 2019.3.0f6 but anyway, I would give it a try.

Could you check if it helps?

    Regards,

    Carlos.

  4. Hi,

Sorry, I'm afraid it's not currently in the roadmap to provide support for more Linux distros.

The Plastic GUI doesn't depend on "mono" anymore. @Marco Betschart are you planning to install the Plastic client or server? We can try to assist you to install it via the above .tar.gz.

    Regards,

    Carlos.

  5. Hi,

I'm afraid we cannot reproduce this issue. After clicking ok "Ok", this is not working? What is your OS and Plastic version?

You can also disable it in the "C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\plastic4\plasticgui.conf" file:

    DisableAllHelp=True

Plastic's GUI has numerous elements that take up screen space and are not possible to get rid of, like this one:

If you click on "Learn more", the informative message should disappear. I know it can bit a bit confusing that this is not included as a regular "tip" in the GUI when disabling them.

    Regards,

    Carlos.
