  1. The Unity version I use is: 2020.3.27f1 The Version Control is: 1.15.12 So that might be it, other than that I can't think of anything yet. If something comes to mind I will let you know. Like we talked about, I will remove version control for now. If anything happens again with freezing and I can figure out how to replicate it I will let you know.
  2. Here is a link to a dropbox filled with the assets. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bendhpm0ncelu06/AABcxUOpTFOnOXFtJxvq92zOa?dl=0 I hope that will make reproducing the issue possible. If not, the project went through over 2 years of development and was updated to a newer Unity version. A lot could cause it in the end. If I remove the version control package, is only the unity extension gone? I still use Plastic SCM normally right? The problem is, the freezing didn't occur anymore. I don't know how to replicate it. Before I had the issue a lot, but now it is really rare. In the last month I had one freeze. I will still give it a try as I prefer using the external Plastic anyways. If it freezes again I will let you know here!
  3. Dear Ryan, thank you for looking into it all and sharing all this knowledge with me. 1) I will keep you updated if anything gets auto deleted again. 2) I double checked. The files are ".anim" -> Animation clips and ".controller" -> Animation Controller. I missread the files before and believed them to be the spritesheets. The picture below shows the files that are always shown as "changed" when I open Unity. So I can check them in, close unity, open unity, and they are shown again. 3) Now that I understand the problem I can see how that must have happened. I had Unity freezing the other day several times when I tried to go back and forth the workspace in Plastic. It gave me a headache but I tried to solve problem one by going back and forth. I was testing things. Unity froze. I had to close it via task manager. Solved 😁👌 The other time our artist had that problem, I believe her Unity also froze and she closed it via Task Manager. I guess that is the problem, the root is that Plastic sometimes freezes Unity. I think the better way to use it is to use the Plastic App instead of using Plastic inside Unity. That way seems very stable, compaed to the Unity one which, well freezes sometimes. Thank you a lot for taking your time, I think I understand Plastic a lot better and the problems we have with it. Warm Regards, Deniz
  4. Hey Ryan, thank you for the answer. I realize I need to clarify some things as I left them ambigious and didnt explain well. 1) The Artist never touched the FMOD banks. But somehow the files got deleted. Not by her or by me though. I just realized though that they got set to ignore. I think we must have done something wrong when we started with it and didn't yet understand Plastic enough. I remember that on her side it kept saying that it changed the banks. I assume there will be a new issue coming from unignoring but that shouldnt be as much of an issue as this one. 2) We did try the DIff option and Plastic SCM does say that there would be no difference. I attached the picture below, just in case I misunderstand what Plastic is telling me. It's just such a weird thing. Uhh it seems even more like a bug now! In Plastic it doesnt show these changes in "Pending Changes". It only shows them in Unity under Pending Changes. 3) Now this one I really explained terribly. So here we go again! I had a script in Unity that I created and worked on months ago. It's called "SetObjectPositions". Somehow it now got duplicated. I didnt touch it. But plastic thought it's a new script or something. The new script was private and I had to check it in to delete it (at least I didnt find the delete button when it was private, but I will definetly try next time, thank you for the tipp!). Here is a picture of the "new" script when I checked it in. As you can see it got renamed in a very specific way. The script is completly the same as the other one. Not sure what happened here. My artist had something similar once. She had some files duplicated. We are sure that she didnt touch them either but we had been able to just delete them. Thank you for the reply it already helped me a lot, I really appreciate it! Warm Regards, Deniz
  5. There are three things I have a problem with and I will explain them here. I recently was forced to migrate from Unity Collaborate to Plastic SCM. I say forced because I had no choice, the project was just "luckily" upgraded and I had to figure out what the heck that meant. At that point Collaborate worked perfectly with multiple different people for two years on this project alone. Now that we are using Plastic we have three major problems which I feel are related but might not be. Idk. That's why I am writing this. Thanks for reading in advance. 1) When our Artist downloaded the project with Plastic. At one point the FMOD banks (essentially a normal file) got deleted on her end. She has never touched the files though. On my PC, the newest version has the banks. It's the newest version. My Laptop downloaded that version. Now I'm supposed to check in the change "FMOD Bank Deleted" just like her. I tried to undo it, but it just kept deleting it over and over, or my laptop never got those files to begin with? 2) Some files in the check in list even though I haven't touched them. Some are always in there. Animation Clips and png's (Spritesheets). This isnt the end of the world but insanely annoying as it hides what actually was changed. It happens everytime I start unity with the pc or laptop for the same files. Our artist doesnt have this problem. I mention this problem as it seems to be related to the one above. As Plastic is doing stuff on it's own. 3) This one is terrible and super dangerous. It happen twice now that a file was shown as private in the check in. But I havent touched the file. This might not be Plastic related but I never had this issue before. And now it happened twice in two weeks of me using Plastic. The problem is that a script got doubled. The only way to get it out was to delete the actual file. Not sure why but in Plastic I couldnt get rid of it. Is there a way to delete private stuff? Im still new to plastic but used to used git and other version control stuff. I will read lots about plastic but I'm not sure if I will find the solution to this, hopefully someone knows the answers. Thank you for your time, it's much appreciated!
