  1. Hi, I saw that PlasticSCM is supporting LDAP but I couldn't find indication if you support SSO through SAML for enterprise integration with our IDP (Azure AAD)? Michel
  2. Hi, We are considering using ClickUp to manage our upcoming dev projects. We will mostly use Unity so we are interested in using Plastic SCM but we want to know how we can integrate our tasks in ClickUp if this is possible. Is it possible to associate GitHub items with ClickUp tasks by including the ClickUp Task ID in checkings titles? Can we change statuses of tasks from checking titles? Is anyone using these two tools combined? Is this recommended? Thank you.
  3. Hello, We are a small team game development on Unity and we are actually migrating from Collab to PlasticSCM. We are using Gitlab for issue tracking and Discord as our communication tool. It seems complicated to integrate PlasticSCM Cloud Edition in our workflow. There is not webhook for Discord neither Plastic Gitlab integration. Do we have to develop our own tools to link everything to PlasticSCM ? What's the good way to do it ? Is it even possible to do it with the Cloud Edition..? Best, Matthis Le Texier
  4. I was wondering if the IntelliJ IDEA plugin would work for Rider. It is from the same company and based on the same IDE engine... It allowed me to select it as a target to install the plugin to the Plastic installer is recognizing it as a valid IDE, and it is showing up in the list of installed plugins. However it is greyed out (even though the check mark is on) and the options are unavailable. I think it would be a really good integration for Plastic given how well it works with C#.
  5. Are there any plans to provide some kind of SemanticMerge integration with JetBrains Upsource code review tool - in browser or in one of their IDEA derived Upsource plugins? https://www.jetbrains.com/upsource/features/ https://www.jetbrains.com/help/upsource/installing-upsource-plug-in.html Maybe functionality added to their plugin so that SemanticMerge becomes an alternate viewer for diffs. Or some way to open SemanticMerge diff for current diff in the browser.
  6. Following the dedicate guide to integrate Bugzilla with SCM, It raise an the error below while testing the connexion: I had copied the plastic.gci script and bugzillaextension.dll (as described in SCM blog, not in the documentation) but the same error is still raised ?!? Quid ? Technical Informations : Windows 10- 64bits, Plastic SCM, Bugzilla 5.0.3/Strawbery Perl 5.7.17/IIS 10.0.1493.0
  7. I’ve been trying to make Plastic work with Jira (both are in the cloud). I have closely followed (done) the following: https://www.plasticscm.com/documentation/extensions/plastic-scm-version-control-task-and-issue-tracking-guide.shtml#JIRAintegration I am trying to follow the JIRA - Multi-project configuration https://www.plasticscm.com/documentation/extensions/plastic-scm-version-control-task-and-issue-tracking-guide.shtml#JIRA-Multi-projectconfiguration Here is my configuration parameters: PREFERENCES Bind to Issue Tracking System: JIRA Apply Binding to: All Repositories Host: http:\\intertech.atlassian.net User Name: dclayton@intertech.us Password: *** Branch Prefix: JIRA Project Key: MULTIPLE_PROJECTS Jira Custom field ID: 10200 Fields Mapping: issue.Fields.Project.Name->Description|issue.Fields.Reporter.Name->Owner|issue.Fields.Description->Title Rest URL: /rest/api/2 Task URL: /browse Plastic Version: Jira Version: Latest cloud version (7.x) When I test the connection to Jira I get a “connection successful” message box. I then created an issue in Jira called AMS-2. I then created a branch in plastic called JIRA_AMS-2 The Jira information does not show up in plastic in any of the places it is supposed to show up. I have tried to bind only my local, named repository to JIRA and only the default repository, and all repositories, they all have the same result Also, if I create a branch in Plastic “from task” (JIRA task) I get the attached error. (The error goes away if I select to “display tasks from all users”, but the list remains empty.:
  8. Hi, We are currently testing the Visual Studio 2015 RC. Will integration with Plastic SCM be available and if so is there a timeline for this? Thanks Daniel
  9. - Edmonton Attempting to try out the new Jira integration with branch creation by browsing Jira issues for a project: I was not able to find any information on actually getting that feature to work, but figured it was bound to the Project Key. This is the initial configuration: Bind issues to Plastic branches set branch prefix: JIRA_ Project Key as : MULTIPLE_PROJECTS When connected to jira, and attempting to create a new branch and on the "From task" tab/button, Plastic receives an error "The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request." Switching Jira integration configured DIRECTLY for the project prefix (which precludes it from working against multiple projects) Project Key as : XA (XA in the case for the respository I was attempting to create the branch on) The dialog functions to retrieve the data and shows a list of IDs|Title|Assignee as expected, which is a really nice feature! The question is, how can we (or is it even possible) configure a specific repository (or workspace) to be associated with a particular JIRA project prefix when there are multiple repositories, and multiple Jira projects? Is there some file I can put in the root of the workspace that identifies the jira project prefix to use when creating new branches such that it will show the tasks (as it does when fully configured only for a single project key)? If all else fails, I'll put in a feature request like this: The dialog should be a tree view with the current list of projects - then I can choose (expand) the one I want, which then populates a list of issues associated with that project? Would probably be nice to have a filter on there as well, so I can have it retrive only issues that are in the "Development Backlog" status, or filter it by release version. There might also need to be some configuration for what the "Mark as open in issue tracker" changes the status to - in our case, it would go to "Under Developmenet" - I think the current JIRA default is "In Progress" for status.
  10. Hi, first post from a SCM newbie... Have been around embedded software (assembler, C, and some simple C++) for 20+ years, and have recently been looking at getting a new SCM up and running here. At 1st glance, Plastic SCM seems to be very user friendly and easy to use. I have several questions that I'll try to post in the correct forums. We have some SCM use history for a few projects, but the current tool is not used much due to complexity, lame user interface, and lack of easy-to-read documentation. Most developpers have fallen back to the "copy-paste" backup model, which is not maintainable, as we all know (as well as very dangerous.) Being for embedded applications, most of our software is compiled using IAR's Workbench IDE. Has anyone specifically integrated with this IDE? It supports SCC, but from what I gather, SCC is "limited", compared to "full" integration (whatever that means.) I'd like to know what are these limitations with regards to Plastic SCM. Should I proceed with using the SCC integration, or should I remain "manual"? I've successfully installed Pastic SCM locally and have gone through the tutorial with ease. It looks like integration is not an ABSOLUTE requirement, so I wonder what is gained with integration, and whether SCC integration is worth the trouble (i.e. we don't use Eclipse or Visual Studio, which have "full integration", so what am I losing, if anything?) Thanks for your help! [Edit: For Plastic developpers, are they any plans for an IAR integration plug-in?]
  11. Hi Everyone, My team is looking into using redgate's source control product to take control of our database changes etc and all that good stuff. This integrates with your existing source control system via a configuration file (there are examples for git and subversion included). Does anyone have a configuration file for use with plastic or should i modify the git one and post it online? Thanks - Daniel
  12. Hi I work in small team and we've been using plastic for a while now. I've found that when using visual studio integration when dealing with check-ins and sometimes updating the solution can files often gives different results to when using the plastic application. So what I'm currently trying is to remove the visual studio integration and just use the application. This gives the benefit of not having the extra overhead within visual studio as well as forces me to use the outside tool. The problem with doing this is that I'd like the ability within my team to give people the option to do this. Some may well be happy to stay with the integration tool. Is this possible? Removing the integration plugin removes the bindings.
  13. Is there any possibility to integrate plastic with apache continuum?. We are currently trying plastic in our developments just in our local machines, branching and colaborating between us. But at the end we upload the changes to our currently scm (sourround) to deploy the changes, which is done with apache continuum and ant. So we'd like to change the deployment to download the source code from plastic instead of sourround, but so far I have not found any tip or way to do that. Is there any possibility or we would need to change our integration system?
  14. The integration with Eclipse doesn't work: right click -> "Team" doesn't bring up Plastic's options. I have a "Plastic SCM" perspective, but it doesn't show anything, although I have a working environment (I can see branches and download code, etc..) The plugins do show in Help -> about -> Installation details -> Plug-ins, although appear as "Unsigned" (does it matter ?). Their versions are: commands core ver. 4.0.0, plugin ver. 4.0.2370 Things I tried: reinstallation (w/out uninstall), uninstall and then fresh installation My environment: Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers, Helios RS2 Win7 64 bit Avira antivirus, COMODO firewall
  15. Hello, I'm trying to integrate Bamboo with last version of Plastic SCM 4.0 Beta 1. I found Bamboo_PlasticSCM-1.0.1.jar file on www.plasticscm.com together with description how configure Plastic SCM with Atlassian Bamboo - the configuration was successful, but the sources are not downloaded and it ends with error in Bamboo's log file. The plugin should work for Plastic SCM or higher, but can it be used for 4.0 Beta 1? Here is a complete log from Bamboo: 2011-10-10 15:58:00,000 INFO [QuartzScheduler_Worker-5] [QuartzStrategyJob] Running quartz strategy job for TEST1-TESTPLAN1 2011-10-10 15:58:00,000 INFO [QuartzScheduler_Worker-5] [buildDetectionActionFactoryImpl] Detecting changes for TEST1-TESTPLAN1... 2011-10-10 15:58:00,297 WARN [QuartzScheduler_Worker-5] [PlasticRepository] Error setting selector: sts: Unexpected option --noupdate com.codicesoftware.plastic.core.PlasticException: sts: Unexpected option --noupdate at com.codicesoftware.plastic.core.PlasticShell.execute(Unknown Source) at com.codicesoftware.plastic.commands.SetWorkspaceSelectorCommand.internalexecute(Unknown Source) at com.codicesoftware.plastic.commands.SetWorkspaceSelectorCommand.execute(Unknown Source) at com.codicesoftware.plugins.Bamboo.PlasticRepository.setWorkspaceSelector(PlasticRepository.java:310) at com.codicesoftware.plugins.Bamboo.PlasticRepository.collectChangesSinceLastBuild(PlasticRepository.java:181) at com.atlassian.bamboo.v2.trigger.DefaultChangeDetectionManager.collectChangesSinceLastBuild(DefaultChangeDetectionManager.java:120) at com.atlassian.bamboo.v2.trigger.DefaultChangeDetectionManager.collectChangesSinceLastBuild(DefaultChangeDetectionManager.java:59) at com.atlassian.bamboo.build.BuildDetectionActionFactoryImpl$2.process(BuildDetectionActionFactoryImpl.java:186) at com.atlassian.bamboo.chains.ChainExecutionManagerImpl.createChainState(ChainExecutionManagerImpl.java:196) at com.atlassian.bamboo.chains.ChainExecutionManagerImpl.start(ChainExecutionManagerImpl.java:119) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at org.springframework.aop.support.AopUtils.invokeJoinpointUsingReflection(AopUtils.java:304) at org.springframework.aop.framework.JdkDynamicAopProxy.invoke(JdkDynamicAopProxy.java:198) at $Proxy59.start(Unknown Source) at com.atlassian.bamboo.plan.PlanExecutionManagerImpl.startWithLockTaken(PlanExecutionManagerImpl.java:232) at com.atlassian.bamboo.plan.PlanExecutionManagerImpl.access$100(PlanExecutionManagerImpl.java:42) at com.atlassian.bamboo.plan.PlanExecutionManagerImpl$2.call(PlanExecutionManagerImpl.java:213) at com.atlassian.bamboo.plan.PlanExecutionManagerImpl.doWithProcessLock(PlanExecutionManagerImpl.java:346) at com.atlassian.bamboo.plan.PlanExecutionManagerImpl.start(PlanExecutionManagerImpl.java:206) at com.atlassian.bamboo.build.strategy.QuartzStrategyJob.execute(QuartzStrategyJob.java:40) at org.quartz.core.JobRunShell.run(JobRunShell.java:202) at com.atlassian.bamboo.quartz.SystemAuthorizedThreadPool$1.run(SystemAuthorizedThreadPool.java:38) at org.quartz.simpl.SimpleThreadPool$WorkerThread.run(SimpleThreadPool.java:525) 2011-10-10 15:58:00,297 INFO [QuartzScheduler_Worker-5] [DefaultErrorHandler] Recording an error: There was a problem detecting changes for this plan : TEST1-TESTPLAN1 : Error Thank you, salascz
