  2. My team, at some point this year, will have to move our various tools from using LDAP to Active Directory. When reading up in the PlasticSCM admin guide, I noticed this line in the section pertaining to available authentication mechanisms: I just want to verify now, before we have to do any work, that the Active Directory authentication option does not work when the PlasticSCM server is running on a Linux-based OS. I haven't tried it personally yet, just looking for confirmation. Thank you!
  3. I have many files in pending changes tab.. I check in all of them, but actually there are more modified files. 4. Hello, There is a similar question in https://forum.plasticscm.com/topic/22567-remote-web-admin-for-linux/ . But not the same. I installed the plastic on my remote linux server, at first the webadmin page cannot be opened from my laptop,so I used the second way in CLI to confiure my server as the documentation given: Follow one of this methods to configure the Plastic SCM server Launch the webadmin - Plastic SCM Server Administration Console - the cross-platform admin tool. From the command line: Soon the server is usable at 8087,so I begin to set the ssl connection. I use nginx to proxy local 7178 port ,and the webadmin page became accessable from internet. But came with a issue that since the server is settleed,I cannot created a password. As the documentation says this page should be like this But I met this : And the given solution/opt/plasticscm5/server/adminconsolepwd --pwd=yourpassword) is followed with error Cannot open assembly '/opt/plasticscm5/server/adminconsolepwd.exe': No such file or directory. So what should I do now?
  5. Hi, I am trying to install plastic 8.0 on Debian 10 and am doing so by following the direction available on https://www.plasticscm.com/plastic-for-linux but I cannot see any version below 9.0 from the apt repository. Should I be adding something else to the sources.list or is plastic 8.0 not supported on Debian 10? What am I missing? Appreciate any help.
  6. Greetings! We are trying to use the Teamcity plugin with the "checkout on agent" configuration. This configuration works fine on Windows, but for a Linux agent the checkout does not work. The build fails event before the first build step: Looking at the teamcity-agent.log the next exception trace appears: [2019-10-01 17:54:40,649] ERROR - pl.patch.ProjectSourcesOnAgent - Problem while checkout on agent java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.apache.commons.lang.SystemUtils at com.codicesoftware.plugins.teamcity.PathUtils.isFileInSymlinkContained(PathUtils.java:34) at com.codicesoftware.plugins.teamcity.PathUtils.getCanonicalPath(PathUtils.java:16) at com.codicesoftware.plugins.teamcity.WorkspaceManager.ensureWorkspaceExists(WorkspaceManager.java:21) at com.codicesoftware.plugins.teamcity.PlasticAgentVcsSupport.updateSources(PlasticAgentVcsSupport.java:67) at jetbrains.buildServer.agent.impl.vcs.AgentVcsManagerExImpl$CheckoutSupportImpl.updateSources(AgentVcsManagerExImpl.java:108) at jetbrains.buildServer.agent.impl.patch.ProjectSourcesOnAgent$1.run(ProjectSourcesOnAgent.java:186) at java.base/java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:834) [2019-10-01 17:54:40,651] WARN - l.patch.AbstractSourcesUpdater - Error while checkout on agent: Problem while checkout on agent: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.apache.commons.lang.SystemUtils jetbrains.buildServer.vcs.VcsException: Problem while checkout on agent: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.apache.commons.lang.SystemUtils at jetbrains.buildServer.agent.impl.patch.ProjectSourcesOnAgent$1.run(ProjectSourcesOnAgent.java:192) at java.base/java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:834) Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.apache.commons.lang.SystemUtils at com.codicesoftware.plugins.teamcity.PathUtils.isFileInSymlinkContained(PathUtils.java:34) at com.codicesoftware.plugins.teamcity.PathUtils.getCanonicalPath(PathUtils.java:16) at com.codicesoftware.plugins.teamcity.WorkspaceManager.ensureWorkspaceExists(WorkspaceManager.java:21) at com.codicesoftware.plugins.teamcity.PlasticAgentVcsSupport.updateSources(PlasticAgentVcsSupport.java:67) at jetbrains.buildServer.agent.impl.vcs.AgentVcsManagerExImpl$CheckoutSupportImpl.updateSources(AgentVcsManagerExImpl.java:108) at jetbrains.buildServer.agent.impl.patch.ProjectSourcesOnAgent$1.run(ProjectSourcesOnAgent.java:186) ... 1 more Plugin version: Do you know why may this be happening? I have looked at the plugin folder in the agent and the commons-lang.jar is there. Regards!
  7. Hi, I have installed PlasticSCM on my Fedora server. I installed it with the root user. I chose Username & Password as Authentication-Mode. If I now want to create a user via the Web-Admin user interface, the following error message appears: Access to the path "/opt/plasticscm5/server/users.conf" is denied. Picture in attachment. I'm assuming that the users.conf permissions are not set correctly, maybe not even the whole folder. Many thanks in advance. Best regards, Laurence Trippen
  8. Hi, I'd like to know if it is possible a way to manage more than one PlasticSCM server on a Linux machine with CentOS 6.3. In my office we have several projects that would be interested in connecting to their respective PlasticSCM servers. I've read this topic: But it seems a little tough to me. Is there any other easier way, or is this the only way we currently have to manage several servers in one single machine? Thanks for your help. Regards.
  9. Hi, I have manually installed plastic 5.4 on a Debian 9.3 machine recently and I am in doubt of how to manage which user has license access. I found this comment "Just install plasticscm-client-core" here http://blog.plasticscm.com/2016/01/how-to-manage-plastic-scm-licenses.html, however, that does not make sense that I need the client version of plastic in order to manage user licenses and I am afraid that I will get version mismatch if I use apt-get to install the client? I have found that each repository in the database has a table for user access and I think that is it, however, I would like to know whether there is another way than manually writing some queries to alter the tables, if that is even what I need to do :D? Side question is whether there is an option to install older versions of plastic using apt-get or similar if I have to do another time?
  10. Hi As far is I know the webadmin page cannot be accessed via https / ssl yet. As I'm currently running my plasticscm on an linux server with nginx handling all incoming requests (and requires ssl for all ports) i was trying to get access the webadmin via a proxy forwarding. (internally nginx connects normally in non-ssl way the webadmin-server) Unfortunately the webadmin server does not accept this somehow (get a 404). I assume the webadmin server blocks proxy requests but it could also be that my nginx config is not properly set up. Or do i have to wait until the webadmin supports ssl-certificates? best Fabian
