Roger Ivy
I'm attempting to upgrade to the new version of Plastic Server (4.1.10.315) when I get the error shown in the subject. It's a Windows 2003 server. My current version is (I think) 4.0.237.7 I've tried with the current service running and stopped. Any ideas?
manu
Can you try to manually start the windows service?
Roger Ivy
Can you try to manually start the windows service? Yes, and it starts correctly. Tried installing with and without the service running - same error.
manu
Ok, don't worry. The error message should be a warning since the installation was successfully done. You can start the service since the binaries are the correct ones. I will try to reproduce your behavior.
Roger Ivy
Manu, are you saying it will be OK to continue using Plastic after the error? (i.e. I can simply ignore it?) ...does the update procedure not need to make changes to something else (e.g. SQL tables?)
manu
Hi Rog, the upgrade is done. Don't worry about that. It seems the installer found some security/permission issues while starting the service. You can use the "admintool.exe" utility to review the new release number if you want to. If you have any question don't hesitate to write us.
