How to integrate(or work with) MS Visual Studio Express 2010 with Plastic SCM

We are planning to use Plastic SCM free edition as we are 10 developers team. We are using Visual Studio Web 2010 express edition for development.

How to use Plastic SCM for versioning of our development code?

Any step by step guide would be greatly helpful as we are new to versioning control.

Hello,

We have an integration Visual Studio guide: ( http://www.plasticscm.com/releases/4.1/manuals-html/en/idesguide.htm#_Toc315964356 ).  But if you are new to version controlling would be interesting to read before the introductory guide ( http://www.plasticscm.com/releases/4.1/manuals-html/en/userguide.htm ). It contains everything you need to start using Plastic SCM, but if you have questions don´t hesitate to ask :)

Carlos Alba

Thanks Carlos,

But my question whether the Visual Studio express can be integrated?

As Visual Studio express cannot have option for Plugins/addons how is it possible.

Also remember that visual studio express is a full free version from microsoft thus has many restrictions for third party integration.

Yes, you are right, is not possible to add plugins with VS Express version. Anyway, you have the possibility to use Plastic transparent way. I think it would be very useful in your case.

If you have more doubts don´t hesitate to ask ;)

Best regards,

Carlos
