calbzam
Hi! We are very happy to announce our last creation. GitSync allows you to use Plastic SCM as a GitHub (or Codeplex, or BitBucket... or your company's git server) client. You can use the Plastic SCM tools including the Branch Explorer and still contribute to Git. All the details in our blog: http://codicesoftware.blogspot.com/2013/03/gitsync-is-out-native-windows-dvcs.html We need brave volunteers to test GitSync. In order to motivate you guys to join the testing program we will be selecting 10 top contributors and giving them an iPhone 5!! http://www.plasticscm.com/gitsync/index.html Awesome, isn´t it? Sean
Hi, So how do we get a copy of plastic with GitSync to start evaluating and testing? There aren't exactly any instructions on the sign-up page on what the next step is in order to obtain a download for it. Thanks Sean
calbzam
Did you register to our early adopter program? Anyway con can download the new 4.2 release (www.plasticscm.com --> Downloads --> Labs) and give a try to the new GitSync feature. This is how the GitSync works: Best regards, Carlos
Sean
Yeah ok cool I've got it working I did sign up to the early adopter program but there are no instructions on where you should download it from. You might want to have a look at that. Two more questions... 1 - Where do I log bugs for this version? (I'm getting GUI errors when creating and swapping branches) 2 - Are there any command line options to perform a GITSync? Thanks again
manu
Hi!, 1) the logs are inside the regular cm or plastic logs -> http://www.plasticscm.com/infocenter/technical-articles/kb-enabling-logging-for-plastic-scm-part-i.aspx 2) Sure, for example: "cm sync default@localhost:8087 git git://localhost/repository" a "cm sync --help" will give you more info. Sean
Thanks Manu, Where do I report problems with the software though? Maybe you should open up another forum area like you did for the Plastic 4 beta?
