Possible to prevent a user account from creating a repo ?

Hello,

 

Using version 4.1.x Burgo, is it possible to configure access rights to prevent a user account from being able to create a repo on the server ?

 

If yes, then how ?

With Plastic SCM 4.1 is not possible using permissions since there's no "rmrepository" permission. We have a rmrepository trigger in 4.1 so you can simulate the permission with the trigger but I think it's dirty -> http://codicesoftware.blogspot.com/2012/02/remove-repository-trigger.html

 

Why don't you jump into 4.2? There you will find the new security system (much better than the one in Plastic SCM 4.1) and it has the rmrepository permission

I was referring to repository *creation*, so I suppose you were maybe meaning mkrepository instead of rmrepository ?

In that case you can use the "mkrepository" permission, it's present in Plastic SCM 4.1 and 4.2.

But yes, upgrade to 4.2 since the new security system is much better.
