Plastic 4 start failed

We are using Plastic SCM 4.0.239.19 with MS-SQL as Database.

The Plastic Server was running a long time without any problems.

 

But, last week we had to reboot the server, since it will not boot.

 

We get the following Error:

 

Der dienst „plastic server 4“ auf „lokaler computer“ konnte nicht gestartet werde

Fehler 1053: der dienst antwortete nicht rechtzeitig auf die start-oder steuerungsanforderung

can you please post the server log file? Can you please try to start the service in console mode with an admin console? (plasticd.exe --console)

The service works in the console mode. Thanks.

 

Tomorrow I will Update the .Net Framework.

 

I hope after that it will work, too.

Sure! At least we now it can start properly.

We had updated the .Net-Framework and all other thousand Windows-Updates, but the problem was still there.

 

Then we updated Plastic SCM to the latest of version 4 (4.1.10.500).

Now the problem is no longer there.

happy to hear it's working now, the thing is that on every upgrade the service get registered so maybe it was somehow badly installed the first time and the upgraded fixed it.
