code66
Is it possible to 'lock down' Windows file folders or directories using PlasticSCM, whereby said folders/directories are only accessible within PlascticSCM? To simplify: I want my team to access Windows file server shares only by using PlasticSCM. I've setup my repositories and workspaces and it all works fine, but I want to prevent people from editing or changing Windows file server Shares content unless they're using PlasticSCM. calbzam
Hi, If somebody performs changes in the files under version control, Plastic will always detect the changes (doesn´t matter if the changes were performed using PlasticSCM or directly modifying files trough Windows explorer, notepad...). Plastic also has an exclusive checkout or locking feature but not sure if it´s exactly what you mean: http://www.plasticscm.com/whats-new/checkout.aspx Regards, Carlos
