calbzam
Hi, You will need to configure your Plastic server to use your desired authentication mode: https://www.plasticscm.com/documentation/administration/plastic-scm-version-control-administrator-guide#Authenticationconfiguration Then you can create custom users and groups also from the webadmin. Once you have the Plastic users and groups, then you can assign the permissions for your users: https://www.plasticscm.com/documentation/security/plastic-scm-version-control-security-guide Please let us know if you face any issue. Regards, Carlos.
stedieh
Hi, the ldap configuration works but how can i give a ldap user permission to the repserver? If I connect to the repserver with the configuration wizard using an ldap user, everything is OK, but if I want to log in to the application, I get the message "User unknown". Thanks Steffen
stedieh
I need help, I've been sitting on the system for hours now and can't get any further. I think I have the "Henne Ei question" here, after selecting ldap as my ahtentifzierungs provider, I can't log in anymore to assign the groups/users to the Repserver. As long as I use Authmode "Local Name" or "User and Password" i can't access the ldap groups/users. How should I authorize a user from the ldap directory to access the system, what am I doing wrong? Thanks Steffen
calbzam
Hi, By default, all users can access the system. If you are getting a "User unknown" error, it seems that the user you entered cannot be resolved in the LDAP (or the server authentication configuration is wrong). In there was a permissions error, it would be different message. More information about how you can assign permissions in Plastic: https://www.plasticscm.com/documentation/security/plastic-scm-version-control-security-guide We would need to review the Plastic server debug log, to better understand the error. You can reach us at support@codicesoftware.com and arrange a meeting with you to debug the issue. Regards, Carlos.
calbzam
Just as an update for this thread, after configuring the Plastic server to use "Active Directory", the users were properly resolved. Regards, Carlos.
