Epiczzor
Hey, I created a new repository on the cloud server and linked it to my local workspace directly for a Unreal Engine 4 project, currently my team has two members, i set up the project on two PCs, Pushing and Pulling of changes is working flawlessly, but if i or my team mate check out any file, that does not reflect on the UE4 UI or in Gluon/Plastic SCM. Am i missing some settings ?
calbzam
Hi, - Checkin the UE plugin repo: https://github.com/SRombauts/UE4PlasticPlugin Version 1.4.5 2019/04/27 for UE4.22:display locked files, and bay who - Gluon by default also shows the locked files and by who (not the regular Plastic GUI). Questions: 1) Are you following a centralized workflow (workspace pointing the cloud repo, not a local one)? 2) Do you have configured your custom lock rules? Regards, Carlos. xgodina
Hi @calbzam I've started to play with Plastic SMC and Gluon. I've created a repository on the cloud as weel. I'm learning how it works but I need to connect it to the UE4. Questions: 1- I've tried to connect the Source Control to Plastic but I can't. What am I doing wrong ? 2- Do you need the plugin to see the changes in UE4 ?
calbzam
Hi, It seems you don't have Plastic installed in this machine. You need to install it in order to use the UE plugin. Using the plugin is not mandatory. You can perform all the evrsion control operations directly from the Plastic GUI. Regards, Carlos.
xgodina
Hi, @calbzam Yes, if I have it installed and I'm testing to lock files and other things. I'd like to see those changes in the Unreal editor. Regards, Xavi
calbzam
Hi, If you open a Windows console, are you able to run "cm" commands (Plastic cient CLI)? The plugin needs to use this Plastic client CLI and it doesn't seem to be found in your machine. We need to be sure that the Plastic client is installed on this machine and also the "cm.exe" is included in the SYSTEM path variable, so the UE plugincan find it. Regards, Carlos.
