Plastic Gui Not Starting Any Editions After Reinstall

Recommended Posts

To cut a long story short.

Started windows 10 and Started Desktop Plastic CSM (client\plastic.exe) Nothing happens.

After reboot  Started Desktop Plastic CSM (client\plastic.exe) Still Nothing happens.

After Uninstall, reboot,  install  and reboot.

1. Started Desktop Plastic CSM (client\plastic.exe) Nothing happens

2. Checked task manager Plastic change manager (client\plasticchangetrackerservice.exe) is running.

I've tried the following with default setting (All uninstalled, rebootted and reinstalled) : latest Enterprise Edition, Client setup only and an old  working Enterprise Edition.

All show Plastic change manager (client\plasticchangetrackerservice.exe) is running and not GUI (client\plastic.exe).

I cannot get the gui to launch anymore.

Please advise.

Hi,

- Have you recently upgraded any security policy in your machine? I guess you were using Plastic with no issues until now (and no recent Plastic version upgrades), right?

Maybe a recent Windows upgrade?

- Can you temporary disable the antivirus/Windows defender... Some external tool (or security policy) seems to be preventing the Plastic client to start.

- Do you have installed any of the following tools?

MSI Afterburner

RivaTuner

Regards,

Caros.
