PTalbot
Maybe I'm being daft but where are the climporter and guimporter programs used for importing from other systems. I have looked in all of the PlasticSCM sub-directories but they are not there. Have they been removed from Version 5 and if not then how do I get them installed on my computer? I have a lot of code in Subversion that I want to move to PlasticSCM and this is proving to be a deal breaker at present.
calbzam
Hi, The only migration way to Plastic 5 is using fast-export format files. This is the same migration mechanism are other SCMs use (eg. git). You can read here more information here: http://www.plasticscm.com/infocenter/technical-articles/kb-fast-import-fast-export.aspx Regarding the migrations from SVN to Plastic: http://codicesoftware.blogspot.com/2012/02/migrating-from-svn-to-plasticscm.html (This blog post explains how to migrate a repository from SVN to git, and then from git to Plastic SCM) Regards, Carlos
PTalbot
Sorry about the delay in replying but I have been trying to get a Linux machine up and running just so I can run the script (we are a Windows only shop) and have not been able to get it running properly. So I have abandoned this approach. I am now looking to create a C# program that will do the equivalent task to the script running under Windows instead. manu
Hi! for just one repository you can even launch the commands manually, if you need to do it for several repos it's worth to go for the script.
