Robbie Dee
We have a bunch of code that we're checking in from a developer who works offline. For reasons we don't fully understand, a lot of the code listed in Pending changes is unchanged - perhaps because they took a copy of the code and moved it en masse to another machine to do their work. This isn't a problem in itself but we want to focus on what has changed before we allow the code to be checked in. Looking at the Pending changes view, it seems like the Similarity column should be able to assist here, but it is empty. Any idea how this is normally populated? Robbie Dee
I've just noticed there is a Check the content to determine files as changed, not just timestamp which filters out the unchanged files but we would still be interesting in understanding which the Similarity column is empty as this would seem to be very useful. calbzam
Hi, The similarity column is used for locally moved items. Plastic SCM tries to match moved items with private items to determine if it's the same item. Only locally moved items have value in this column https://www.plasticscm.com/documentation/labs/main#MoveafileandletPlasticSCMdetectitforyou Regards, Carlos.
