hadesz
Hello, I'm trying to install to ubuntu 14.04, but i got dependency errors, so i cant install it. # apt-get install semanticmerge Reading package lists... I tried to install 'semanticmerge-gtk-sharp' manually: # apt-get install semanticmerge-gtk-sharp Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... And that's continues. As I see, there are some plasticscm packages, which are not released for Trusty? Thank you hadesz
manu
Hello, Fedora 14 is not supported yet for semantic Merge, although it's in our roadmap to support it. The Plastic SCM packages are working fine but the webpage is not ready yet.
manu
Here you have the Plastic SCM installation steps for Fedora 14: http://www.plasticscm.net/index.php?/topic/2193-install-on-ubuntu-1404/ You can get the libmono3 and libgdiplus from there. hadesz
Hello, I've tested this solution: The mergetool has been installed, but cannot start: '/opt/semanticmerge/mono_setup: line 29: exec: mono: not found' I've attached the apt-get output Any idea? thanks, David semanticmerge_install.log.tar.gz
calbzam
Hi, I´ve found a workaround to use Semantic Merge on Ubuntu 14.04. Follow these instructions to install Plastic 4.1 on Ubuntu 14.04: https://www.plasticscm.com/plastic-for-linux/index.html Probably you don´t need Plastic SCM installed, but it will also install some dependencies that Semantic Merge needs. We recently supported this Ubuntu 14.04 version for Plastic. After that, open a sample from the "/opt/semanticmerge/samples" folder and check that it´s properly working. PD: Remember to install Plastic 4.1 and not install Plastic 5.0 Regards, Carlos
