Adam Rzepka
Hi, I wasn't able to find this information anywhere. What key and algorithm `cm crypt` uses to encrypt the password? Does it depend on a user or a Plastic version? Can the result of `cm crypt` be shared between different users (encrypted server use-case)? Will it work in future versions of Plastic? How hard it is, to get the original password from it? Thanks, Adam
calbzam
Quote What key and algorithm `cm crypt` uses to encrypt the password? The algorithm is based on MD5. Quote Does it depend on a user or a Plastic version? Can the result of `cm crypt` be shared between different users (encrypted server use-case)? It's the same not depending on the version and you can share between users. Quote How hard it is, to get the original password from it? I'm afraid you won't be able to do it on your side.
