How to properly install the UE4 Plastic SCM Plugin?

I'm getting an error when I try to install the plastic SCM UE4 plugin. I'm currently using UE4.26.2, could this be the reason why? I read that the plugin works with 4.25.

When I launch the project, it shows this:

 

My only choice is to click yes, but then it gives me this:

 

I followed all the instructions on the plugin github page. What am I supposed to do in order to properly get the plugin to work?

Hi,

From what I've seen, this seems to be an error with the build files. Do you have them inside the project?

It could be that they got corrupted, does removing them and reinstalling help?

 

That version of the UE should be supported.

I've removed the plastic SCM plugin files and reinstalled multiple times. Not successful, same error produced.
