Ken Williams
Greetings! We have an existing repository that we've been using for a year. It has over 7,500 changesets! We would like to start clean. I've thought about just starting a completely new repository and uploading the latest copy of the source code. Alternately, is there some simpler process you might recommend? Can I just choose some changeset, and say, "Nuke everything and make this one changeset that looks like a freshly uploaded set of code?" Or, can I easily create a new repository based on a particular changeset? Basically, I'd like to nuke all of the past history and start clean. -Ken W
ryancassell
Hi Ken, if maintaining your workspace's history is not important to you then it's recommended that you create a brand new workspace using the latest copy of your previous workspace's source. If you'd like to simplify the process, you could delete the .plastic folder in your workspace folder and then add it to a new workspace that you create via the Plastic SCM client. That way you don't need to move your code anywhere but it will let you start from scratch with your project from a source control standpoint.
