Marc S
Hi. When switching branches with pending changes, we get a warning blocking us until we deal with said changes. This can be inconvenient because we sometimes don't want to commit those or need to move them to the other branch (if started working on the wrong one for example). The current solution to this is to shelve said changes and remember to unshelve them when getting back, or doing that to the destination branch. This could be automatically managed in the warning window. Instead of "OK", the user would have two options "Keep changes on that branch for later" or "Move changes to destination branch". The second option would have a warning if conflict. The first option would trigger a message when switching back to a saved branch "Would you like to re-aply your previously shelved changes?". Note that this feature already exists on competing services. This part of Plastic feels cumbersome when you're used to a more fluid workflow. Thanks in advance. ollieblanks
Hey @Marc S, Thanks for providing this great feedback! I couldn't agree more with this reasoning and have forwarded this suggestion onto the Product Management team.
