Can't reinstall plastic

There's no plastic uninstall program. And it isn't in the control panel. When trying to delete Plastic folder it says that log4net.dll is opened in windows explorer.

When trying to install new plastic it detects installed plastic.

When continue installation it shows this:

It seems there is a problem unresgistering the Shell extension. Can you use "unintsaller.exe" to install Plastic and then reinstall the last Plastic version to check if it helps?

Regarding the Shell Extension, let's try to manually unregister it, the Installer should be able to do it automatically, I'm wondering why it's not doing it.

As I'm not sure which shell extension type you might be having I'm going to write here both of them:
.NET4 (64bits)
"c:\Program Files\PlasticSCM5\client\tools\RegisterExtensionDotNet40_x64.exe" -u "c:\Program Files\PlasticSCM5\client\shellextension.dll"

.NET2 (64bits)
"c:\Program Files\PlasticSCM5\client\tools\RegisterExtensionDotNet20_x64.exe" -u "c:\Program Files\PlasticSCM5\client\shellextension.dll"

You will need to manually restart the "explorer.exe" process, or restart the PC, and finally retry the installation.

I am having a similar issue.  I installed earlier today, but I was having computer issues, so I deleted everything and started over.  Now, when trying to re-install, I am getting the same windows pop-up messages and am unable to install.  All files associated with the earlier install were removed.

If you create an empty file: "C:\Program Files\PlasticSCM5\install.properties" are you able to perform installation?

I was able to restore my original install and then do a proper uninstall.  Then a fresh install fixed it.  Thanks anyway.
