How to ignore unchanged files?

DevDunk

Recommended Posts

I get a lot of files in pending changes, while they actually are unchanged.
Examples are ShaderGraphSettings.asset and OpenXRPackageSettings.asset. I did not even touch these files, so why would they show up in plastic?
It is very frustrating and keeping my team off work for longer since they have to go through multiple unchanged files when merging...

Using Unity 2021.3.11f1 and the latest Plastic SCM version (new GUI). They show up both in Unity and the GUI. Source Control package in Unity is up to date as well.

EDIT: Unity collab 2.1.0-preview.6 did improve it a bit, but the issue still appears often. Please get this out of experimental asap. 2.0 also did not get a release

Hi,

Was the file timestamp changed? By default, Plastic is detecting as changed a file when the file time stamp changes. You can edit this at Preferences --> Other options:

Also in the diff comparation method, please check that you are not ignoring any actual change in the file: EOLs, whitespaces.

Carlos.
