C_Greulich Posted October 18, 2014 Report Share Posted October 18, 2014 I was trying to do a merge which ended up going haywire because I messed up trying to cancel. Now I'm in a situation where I'm in the middle of a merge, I can't check in anything ("The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found")I can't undo (says no partial undo, despite having everything selected)and I can't finish the merge (same as check in). I tried restarting the merge and that yielded no result. Basically I just want to go back to before I merged, clean slate, I have no changes to preserve, but the only out I see at the moment is using a backup to remake the workspace as a new project. manu Posted October 20, 2014 Report Share Posted October 20, 2014 The error sounds like a .NET hiccup. Sounds crazy but restart both client and server machines (not the server process, the full machine if you can). Then try again the operation.
