u2468
We need to write a custom PlasticSCM plugin for a company system. Where is your development kit for writing plugins? Can you point me to information on how users can write their own plugins? Thank you.

u2468
Hi, We have recetnly published an article about writing custom extensions for Plastic: https://plasticscm.com/documentation/extensions/plastic-scm-version-control-task-and-issue-tracking-guide.shtml#Chapter11:WritingPlasticSCMcustomextensions Regards, Carlos. That's a start for your Windows version of plastic scm. However, we will be deploying both Windows and Linux gtk versions. Do you have an example for your new gtkplastic version? Obviously Visual studio, C#, Codice.I3.dll, extensioncommon.dll, log4net.dll are no longer applicable. http://codicesoftware.blogspot.com/2014/12/native-linux-gui-gtkplastic.html
calbzam
Hi, I´m afraid that the new GUIs are not totally ready for custom extensions. But when this functionaly is ready, it should worl as well. Regards, Carlos.
lukeb
I've just upgraded to 5.4.16.707 from 5.4.16.651 and tried recompiling the Redmine extension (http://codicesoftware.blogspot.com/2013/10/redmine-integration.html) but I could no longer find 'extensioncommon.dll' in the Plastic client folder and the compile fails with various errors. I suspect this is related to the comment above re: 'new GUIs are not totally ready for custom extenstions'. Is there any way to get the Redmine extension working again with 5.4.16.707? calbzam
Yes, I´m afraid that the custom extension mechanism changed a few months ago. You can find here the detailed documentation: https://plasticscm.com/documentation/extensions/plastic-scm-version-control-task-and-issue-tracking-guide.shtml#WritingPlasticSCMcustomextensions Regards, Carlos.
