newcube
Hi, I'm a rank amateur Plastic SCM user. I'm using VS2010 Express which doesn't have source control integration built in, not a problem, the Plastic GUI is good enough for my single user dev environment - except I can't work out how to check out a whole directory tree of files. Since editing an item in VS2010 doesn't auto checkout I need to manually go to the gui and check the file out. What would suit me better would be to checkout the entire solution, make my edits and saves then check in everything in again using "Pending Changes". How can I achieve a full directory checkout? Thanks, Nic
newcube
Found out how to work in my preferred workflow: http://www.plasticscm.com/infocenter/technical-articles/kb-no-checkout-workflow.aspx
miller
newcube, although it is not supported, but I was playing with the external tools capability of the limited VS2010 and got some really good results. in VS2010 go to tools-->externaltool, see how I built a couple of Plastic SCM commands , you can built more commands using the powerful Plastic scm cli cm.exe. Again, use it at your own risk
