Soho
Is there a keyboard accelerator for performing a check in in the pending changes view? I check in often and it is annoying to reach for the mouse just to click check in. I could back-tab to the check in button, but I have to back-tab five times to get to the check in button. In general it could be very nice to have keyboard shortcuts for all common actions in Plastic.
miller
Checkin = Ctrl+i , co = Ctrl+o the options are indicated in the right-click context menu. Miller
Soho
Ctrl-i inserts a "tab" in the pending changes comments, it doesn't commit the changes. Also I see no Ctrl-i in the context menu list of accelerators..
miller
The file should be highlighted, and try the ctrl+i and it is there in the context menu, see attached please marked in red. cheers, miller
Soho
The Ctrl-I only works when I the file list is focused. Typically you are in the comment section writing something and to use Ctrl-I I would have to tab throw "recent comments" to the file list to get the Ctrl-I shortcut. It would be preferable with a more shortcut that worked in the whole view. Also, 90% of the time, I check in using the VS2010 plugin where the pending changes view has no shortcuts, not even when the file list is focused. Clearly this is a "nice to have" feature, but great keyboard shortcuts and navigation is what makes products like Jetbrain's ReSharper a pure joy to use. I know that a lot of developers use the mouse a lot, but personally I cringe when I see developers use to finger typing and use the mouse for everything. Hit F6 to compile, goddammit, don't click "Build->Build Solution".
