sray
Looks like my question got nuked in the transition to the new forum, so I thought I'd repost. My current environment is WebSphere Integration Developer (WID) 6.0.2 which I think is based on Eclipse 3.0. Unless I'm not doing things correctly, it appears the PlasticSCM Eclipse plugin is not compatible with this rev of WID. We may migrate to WID 7.0 in the near future, but that doesn't help me today. I was curious if anyone had experience with using PlasticSCM with WID 6? Thanks, Steve
Guest
Hi, sray: Plastic SCM works fine with Eclipse based IDEs from Eclipse 3.2 on, such as JBuilder. Could you please verify whether WID 6 is based on Eclipse and what version of Eclipse is based on? The following is the compatibility matrix of Plastic SCM: http://www.plasticscm.com/infocenter/third-party-compatibility.aspx Please, check it out. sray
Hi Luis, Thanks for the response. WID 6 is based on Eclipse version 3.0. From your link, I assume PlasticSCM does not support Eclipse 3.0 or 3.1, is that correct? Uless this is wrong, I guess we'll have to wait until we migrate to WID 7 to get IDE integration... Guest
Yes, I'm afraid that Eclipse 3.0 and 3.1 is not supported anymore; it's a veeery old release and lots of improvements have been added to the plugin that would not work with such an old version. I'd recommend to upgrade to a newer Eclipse-based application, if possible. Sorry for the inconveniences, Luis
