redice
Hey guys! We seem to have run into a little problem where we cannot add Projects or Solutions into PlasticSCM. The error we're getting looks something like, See attachments. These project were initially created using VS 2005 and were later upgraded to VS 2010. However, If I create a project using VS 2010 adding projects or solutions then seems to work without any issues. Any ideas perhaps? Cheers
psantosl
Looks like the code is already under source control. Don't you see it if you browse your code from the plastic scm GUI? If that's the case, what you need to do is to "bind to source control" not to "add it". Does it make sense? pablo
redice
Hey Pablo, No, the project/solution not bound at all, but after the error occurs, then it becomes "pending for add" as seen in SS attached, and when I try to add I get the same error. psantosl
I know it is not bound, my question is whether it is already under source control. Go to the Plastic GUI, select the latest cset on the branch you're working on and do a "browse repository on this changeset", and tell me whether the code is there
redice
LOL Sorry my bad, It was under SS, but I cleaned the proj and sln files to make sure that it was all clean before adding to plastic. I did as you asked and the files are not there.
psantosl
Ok, can you try to add it to a new repository? Just to check what is going on.
redice
Will give that a shot!
redice
Hey Pablo! Just to let you know, I successfully added most project into another Repository!! Thank you very much for your help!
psantosl
So, see what must be happening: most likely you had contents already on your repo. That's why it complained. As you get more familiar with plastic you'll be able to figure out these things. Basically, browsing your repo (old one) must show you the added files somewhere. Welcome aboard!!!
