dxrose
I ran the command line from the solution; cm au "my user name" and received the following message "don't have permissions to activate "my user name". You need to be repository serverr adminstrator in order to be allowed to complete this operation" I have downloaded all the software, I have logged in to your site using the same user name., and downloaded the license file, and installed it in the server directory. I have checked the user accounts on this machine and my user name is listed as administrator. Still does not recognize my user name,....
miller
HI dx, you still didnt answer my questions? , it is important so I can assist you locating were the misconfiguration is. And look at the bottom of the link I sent you, Note: only a Plastic administrator can run the commands above. Make sure that you have set up a Plastic server administrator user or group. The administrator of the Plastic server is the owner of the repository server. It can be a single user or a group. If the administrator has not been set yet, you can use the GUI or the command line to do it. This command will set the owner of the repository server at myserver:8084 to the user "miller": cm setowner -user=miller repserver:myserver:8084 easiest: Reconfigure server and client to use "local users" authentication mode, use of course the configuration wizards, you will be up and running in two minutes. Restart the server after you reconfigure authentication mode. Tell me how it goes, Miller

miller
dx, you do not need to run nothing to get the version number. just type: cm version on a console window and you will get exact version. Did you reconfigure server + client to use local users? Start->Programs->Plastic scm\Client tools\client.configuration wizard.. Start->Programs->Plastic scm\Server tools\server configuration wizard Start the wizards and configure you server + client. tell me how this goes!
