astruyk
Is there a way to copy files and preserve the history? We often have to clean up old files that have more than one class inside of them. We want to split up the files so that there is one file per class. Unfortunetly, the only way I can see to do this is to make a new copy of the original file and check it in as a new file, which loses all of the history of the code in the new file. This makes tracking down the source of code really hard since there's no way to know where the code came from...
psantosl
Hi astruyk! Pretty interesting topic since we've been discusing it today during our daily SCRUM meeting! Right now we're not able to do that, but I do totally understand your need since I've missed it myself several times when you move one class from one file to a new one. I'll talk to the team tomorrow again because this is something we obviously need to implement. Thanks, pablo
