adamhill
How well does Plastic handle big binary files? Any thing like the largefiles extension for Mercurial? I want to make our artists start using VCS (rather than version names or folders) but at some point you want to say "Its done" and then prune the tree (prune history) and make version X the base moving forward (rinse, repeat this for alpha, beta, RCn, etc.) Adam
psantosl
Hi, Well, plastic handles big files out of the box. NO extensions needed. We test our system with 1Tb in a single file. About pruning: there are several options. One is using "archiving" (able to move data out of the db), another one could be a new branch an replicate it clean (just this version, not history) to a newer repo to continue working... There are several options as you can see.
