lengelbret
I've installed Plastic SCM server and client on my machine. I'd like to set it up to work with Powerbuilder, but am not sure how to do that. I received a link to a document which details some of the setup necessary, but it talks about going to the Plastic SCM Options and I'm not sure how to get there. It seems like I need to set up a repository and workspace before doing this, but I don't have any documentation on how to go about doing that. Can anyone point me to some end-to-end documentation on setting this up? Thanks.
manu
A little bit old but still working: http://codicesoftware.blogspot.com/2009/05/plastic-scm-powerbuilder-installation.html Make sure you have the "Update and ... sets files as read only" and "Compare file content..." options enabled in the Plastic SCM preferences window. lengelbret
Yes, I have that document, but don't I have to do something before this? I've just installed the server and client and done NOTHING else. I think I may need to set up a workspace or repository or something. If not, how do I get to that options page it mentions? Thanks! manu
Well, make sure you install the SCC plugin with the Plastic SCM installer and then create a workspace.... Add the powerbuilder project... And then follow the blogpost steps. You can open the PB window by: "In order to bind a PowerBuilder workspace with a Plastic SCM one, you must right click on the PowerBuilder workspace and then on properties menu option. Then, select the tab "Source control" and you will see a screen like the following one. Select Plastic PLUGIN as Source Control System."
lengelbret
I think we'll require some assistance with this. Is there a way we can pay for some time with someone that can walk me through this?

lengelbret
I did get things set up, but have a lot of questions about how to do certain things. Is there any way you can spend an hour or so going over stuff with me? If all goes well, we will purchase support. I'm in the central timezone. manu
Hi, I assume that you are talking about US central time, right? Are you available to have the meeting next Tuesday the 10?
