achako
Hello, I installed PlasticSCM in order to examine the performance when dealing with a large number of files in PlasticSCM. I created a workspace. and, when I try to check-in each 3 folders(1.6G ~ 2.3G), I got the error "The process cannot access the file 'FileName' because it is being used by another process". So, I was not able to complete the check-in. I tried several times to check in, as I get the same error, I was not able to complete the check. Situation ・The file name getting error was not specific file.( .csv, .gxt, .awb etc. ) ・I examined the file error occurred using tool when the error came out, the file was used by only Plastic.exe. ・The error occurred only at the check-in of large folder. ・while trying to check-in several times, I successed check-in twice( folders was each 2.3G ). Plastic SCM configulation ・version: 4.1.10.394 ・database: MySQL ・total user lisenses: 5 ・Authentication Mode: PlasticSCM own user and password database Best regards
manu
Hi Achako, any antivirus or something similar? We do performance test with files larger than yours (1TB) and we haven't seen that error never before during the commit. Is it always happening for the same file or is it random? achako
Sorry for the late reply. > any antivirus or something similar? I use antivirus 'ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4'. I tried to checkin again disabling this software, I got the same error. Also, I tried to checkin after restarting the machine, I got the same error. >Is it always happening for the same file or is it random? it was random. (xxx.csv, yyy.gxt, zzz.awb etc.) But, the next day, I tried checkin in the same directory again, I successfully completed without any errors happen. My machine might just have been a glitch... I still do not know the cause.
