Password content and size enforcement

For legitimate reasons my server will have visibility beyond engineering. I'm admitedly not a big fan of this as a user, but as an admin in my current situation, I'd like to be able to enforce a password length, at least one capital letter, one lowercase leter, one number and one symbol, though these would be options.

 

Is this feature available and I haven't found it or is it being considered? If not, could it be considered?

I´m afraid at the moment we don´t have an "enforce password content" feature.  How many users are you? Don´t you consider using LDAP or Active directory?

Currently, there is only me. I'll be adding a new person in a few months and then an unknown number of contractors--it is this last group that concerns me (in an annoyed fit of laziness, developers do dumb things like setting bad passwords.) Perhaps we'll be on a domain by then.
