Plastic scm Proxy

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I installed plastic proxy server and Configured using this link ->https://www.plasticscm.com/documentation/administration/plastic-scm-version-control-administrator-guide.shtml#Chapter4:Usingaproxyserver

Configured plastic client and gave destination folder to store the files in cache.

The files are not getting stored in the cache when i perform any Plastic operations like create new branch or switch branch  etc.

Logs for Proxy from file "plasticcached.log.txt"

Hello Pavan,

can you please edit the "plasticcached.log.txt" file and set it to DEBUG? It will generate more log lines. Please post it later so we can check the potential issues.

Double check the user running the Plastic SCM cache daemon is able to reach the destination folder, double check the permissions.

Thanks.

Here you have the reason:

2017-01-30 19:17:45,671   DEBUG CacheHandler - Server 192.168.1.2:8087 is not allowed to use a proxy server due to license type. Request will be rejected.

You'll need an enterprise edition license in order to use the Proxy server.

H Pavan,

you basically need to check the user that is running the Plastic Proxy service is hacer read/write permissions for the path you chose as the "<CachePath>".

But as I said it's currently not working because of your license.

Thank you for the reply.
