Dave.P
The Model database in our MS SQL Server environment has an initial size of 128 MB. New Plastic repository creation fails with error message "The CREATE DATABASE statement failed. The primary file must be at least 128 MB to accommodate a copy of the model database." Plastic version is 5.0.44.555 - Split. Is there a configuration setting in Plastic that can be changed so the primary file size will accommodate a 128 MB model database? calbzam
Hi Dave, What MS SQL Server version are you using? Is it a requirement in your enviroment to set this value to 128MB? Because we could easily workaround this problem just editing this setting to a lower value following the next steps: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH226883.html Regards, Carlos
calbzam
You can also customize the database creation command following the next steps: https://www.plasticscm.com/documentation/administration/plastic-scm-version-control-administrator-guide.shtml#ConfigurePlasticSCMwithMSSQLServer Regards, Carlos. Dave.P
Thanks, Carlos, for the quick replies! SQL Server version is 2014 (sorry I left that out of the original post). The Model database size is a requirement of the SQL Server environment. The customized database creation command will be the best solution for us. It looks from the Administrator's Guide that we'll need to upgrade our Plastic version to 5.4 to use the custom command. We're long overdue for a Plastic upgrade, so we'll upgrade and go from there.
