Ruud Duin
Hi, We have the following situation: A terminal server where the Plastic SCM client (version 5.0.44.505 - Hawaii) is installed, including the Visual Studio plug in. Another server where the Plastic SCM server is installed. Multiple developers using the terminal server to do their development work. The Plastic SCM client is available for every developer and working fine. Visual Studio is available for every developer and working fine. The issue is that apparently the Visual Studio plug in is only available for the user who installed everything. The other developers cannot use the plug in because it does not appear in Visual Studio in the list of plug ins under Tools, Source Control. Please let me know how we can make sure every developer who uses the terminal server can also use the Visual Studio plug in. Thanks! Ruud
calbzam
Hi, Could you tell me what Visual Studio version are you using and the operating system? Are you using the SCC plugin or the Visual Studio package? I´ve tested in a Windows7 + VS2010 + package and it seems that all the Windows users can use the plugin. Ruud Duin
Hi Carlos, The terminal server has: OS is Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise with SP 1. VS version is 2012 Professional. Not the SCC plug in but the VS package. Be aware that the developers don't use their own separate client machine - they all logon to the terminal server using Remote Desktop Connection. Kind regards, Ruud.
calbzam
Hi, You will find: "plasticscm-visualstudio.vsix" in your client folder. The different users can run this vsix package to install the plugin. Regards, Carlos
