Tre
Hello I'm trying to find more information about the "*.private.0" files that are created in huge numbers on my workspace. I haven't been able to find anything on this matter in the documentation. Since they seem to be the same size as their normal counterpart, i'm guessing plastic backs up private file when they are being overwritten. I'd like to know more so that I can decide if it's safe to delete them. Thanks!
manu
Hi @Tre, yes, those files are created when Plastic needs to download a file revision and it finds there's another private file with the same name at the same spot. In order to preserve it, the file is rename to X.private.0. Notice Plastic will only move the file to .private.X when the local file is not exactly having the same content as the one needed to be downloaded.
