We use PlasticSCM 6.0.16.1765 on Microsoft Windows 7 SP1, and recently there is a problem with Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1 update KB 4055002. When this update is installed, Plastic won't show any views with error message saying: No FontFamily element found in FontFamilyCollection that matches current OS or greater: Windows7SP1.

For more information see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055002/description-of-the-security-and-quality-rollup-for-the-net-framework-4 > Known issues in this update

For workarounds see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4074906/typeinitializationexception-or-fileformatexception-error-in-wpf-apps-t

Maybe this is something PlasticSCM team can fix in next release.

Hi,

We use some external controls that are also affected by the bug so a fix on our side is not easy. Microsoft has just announced  that the fix is comming soon. Meantime, they propose a few workarounds:

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/dotnet/2018/01/09/net-framework-january-2018-security-and-quality-rollup/

"Please see https://github.com/dotnet/announcements/issues/53
An issue has been found in the .NET Framework January 2018 Security and Quality Rollup. The .NET team is in the process of fixing the issue. The link above describes the symptom and workarounds to resolve the issue while you are waiting for a fix.
All updates are extensively tested before they are provided to you. We are investigating the gap in our testing and will resolve that for our next release.
Please accept my apologies on behalf of the team. We’re very sorry that this bug was part of the update."

Regards and sorry for the inconveniences,

Carlos.
