RedHookKeir
I am trying to configure our Plastic SCM Cloud server to allow for locking of specific files and do not see the option. I have added the file extensions in the web portal from the documentation but see nothing else after that. 1) Where will being able to lock show up? 2) Will checking out a file after this is configured lock it? calbzam
Hi, You can run "cm listlocks --server=Organization@cloud" to get the locked files. If you checkout a file and it matches the lok rules, it should appear in the list. Note that your workspace should be directly pointing to the cloud repo. Regards, Carlos. RedHookKeir
Where do I run this from?
calbzam
You can open a Windows/Linux console. The "cm" is the Plastic command line client.
RedHookKeir
So I have checked out a unity scene file and nothing shows up in the locked list. The file should immediately lock when i check them out right? Do I need to reset the server or something?
calbzam
No, as soon as it's checked-out, it should be locked. 1) Review that the workspace where you are locking the files is pointing to your cloud repo (not local repo). 2) Review that your lock rules match the file you are checking out. 3) When running "cm listlocks" include "--server=Organization@cloud". Regards, Carlos.
RedHookKeir
Thanks so much naked bart! That was it. We are all on our local repos and pushing to the cloud. Will probably be back when we integrate our local server with remote workers 😉
