alex2323
Is it possible to install Plastic like non root user? I've got this: The current user does not have enough privileges to install some server features. If you continue, these features will not be installed. In order to perform a complete installation, abort this installation, become a system administrator and run installer again. Do you want to abort the installation now? Thank you. manu
Hi Alex, yes it's possible, although the installer says that the server feature will not be installed is not 100% true, it will be installed but the server will not be automatically started due to the user you are using foll the permission has not permission to set it up correctly. If you are using windows the windows service will not be installed. You will need to manually start the server: plasticsd start|stop|restart (Daemon linux mode) plasticd --console (Console mode) plasticd.exe --service (Windows service mode, will not work unless you are root/Admin) plasticd.exe --tray (Windows tray mode)
alex2323
Thank you, I configured that way. And it's OK. And I'd like to restrict Plastic SCM in MySQL, I created the user and grand privileges to "rep_1" and "repositories". Is it correct? Or I should create user which can create and drop any databases?
