tpaslou
I was wandering if it is possible to create a package repo in Plastic Cloud and use it in the package manager.
calbzam
Hi, I'm afraid it's not possible. What are your workflow details? We can try to find the best approach for you. Regards, Carlos.
tpaslou
Hi Carlos I have created a base project which consists of some scripts, models, prefabs, scenes etc. The aim of this is to be a package and to be used by multiple other unity projects. In other words, to be used such an asset like the ones in the asset store but only internally through a repository. The base project will be getting updates so every other using it should get the updates too. Kind Regards Thanos
calbzam
Hi, I'm guessing if you could commit this base project to a Plastic repo and this way, make it reachable for the rest of the team. Plastic can use Xlinks to link a repo to a different project (eg: shared library). In the following blog post, we explain how to share an egine repository. https://blog.plasticscm.com/2014/08/how-to-share-engine-repository-between.html Regards, Carlos.
tpaslou
Hi Carlos, it's been a while I have a question regarding X-Links. So I gave them a shot following this blog post and my problem is that I have to pull the whole project. Is there a way to connect my project only to a folder of another project through the X-Link ? Best Regards Thanos
calbzam
Hi, You can create partial readonly Xlinks: https://www.plasticscm.com/documentation/xlinks/plastic-scm-version-control-xlinks-guide#CreatinganXlinkusingthecommandline Regards, Carlos.
