bhushan_341
Hello Team, We have setup a plastic server in Germany within our company and using it successfully for few weeks now. How can our external client sitting in other country access our server. I understood from various articles that i can setup a proxy server at client side and link it to our server. I am not much of a networking guy. Please explain me in detail how can i setup this. Thanks in advance. Bhushan.
calbzam
Hi, You can setup a proxy cache server on the client side, but anyway you would need to access to the remote server to replicate the changesets (http://codicesoftware.blogspot.com/2012/10/distributed-and-proxy-servers.html) You can use for instance a VPN. The server IP should be accessible from the client machine. We have also customers using a Plastic server in Amazon EC2 --> http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22646859/hosting-plastic-scm-on-amazon Regards, Carlos.
