rkokasih
Hi, I have a question : Is it possible to import repositories from database files, i.e. from .SQLite files. I use PlasticSCM for personal version control (binary file capabilities, nice graphics! I'm sold to PlasticSCM ). However, recently I have to reinstall my Windows due to OS related issue. Now I need to re-setup applications in my laptop and one of it is PlasticSCM. All I have is .SQLite files in the plastic database folder. Is it possible to recover the PlasticSCM repositories under this condition? Thank you for the help. PlasticSCM rocks!
manu
Sure you can! The "cm addrep" command will work. Remember to change the db.conf file to sqlite.
rkokasih
Hi manu, thanks. It helps!! The following is the details for those who encounter the same scenario: 1. Set Plastic Server to use old database format (take note of the prefix and suffix) 2. Move the old database file to new plastic database folder 3. Rename the database file to conform with the new naming standard (e.g. prefix and suffx, update number if it conflict with currently existing number) 4. Import using cm addrep Thanks for the help
