Xorcist
Is it possible to continue to run an older 4.x plastic server, while installing a new 5.x plastic server on the same machine. (obviously different install paths, ports, and potentially database back-ends for each server)
manu
Well, the 5.x installer will try to remove the older installation (4.x) by default but there's a trick. The installer will check if there's a "cm.exe" in the system PATH variable, if it's found it will retrieve the path and will remove the previous installation. So you can remove the "c:\programfiles\plasticscm\client"/c:\programfiles\plasticscm\server" entries from the PATH and run the installation. It wont complain about a previous version and you can choose a new installation path. As you said, make sure you don't use the same port or the same databases!
