Are cm commands the same for both a central server and a client?

Are the cm commands available on the client (cm help -all) the same commands that are found on a central server hosting plastic?   Or does the server have different cm commands?

 

In other words, if I write a script using cm commands on my client machine, will it also work on a plastic central server?  Or will the central server require different commands?

Yes, the "cm" tool is having command to work with the client workspace (cm ci, cm status, cm ls....) and some other to work with the server, central or local (cm find, cm lrep, cm sa, cm lu, cm au, cm du....).

 

You can't install a Plastic SCM server without a client so the scripts will always work.

 

Notice that some commands are workspace dependent, some other allows you to specify a full server spec allowing to be executed from anywhere.
