sagar Posted August 1, 2015 Report Share Posted August 1, 2015 In order to upgrade from plastic scm 4 to version 5; I have installed PlasticSCM-5.4.16.682-windows-installer but I am getting following error message while starting plastic server 5 (from services.msc) on Windows server 2012 R2 Standard. Windows could not start the Plastic Server 5 service on Local Computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. And plastic.server.log file says following: 2015-08-01 12:07:43,864 (null) NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM at (null) FATAL Daemon - Team Edition does not support the specified database backend: [sqlserver]. Plastic scm 4 is working fine on the same machine with the same database configuration but not plastic scm 5. Please let me know what am I doing wrong. Thanks. manu Posted August 11, 2015 Report Share Posted August 11, 2015 Hi! the problem is your new license is not supporting your database backend (MS SQLserver). I guess you are using the Team edition.
