myearwood
Good day all I had Plastic running for a time with PostgreSQL. I then had to switch to the free community edition plastic scm license. The free version does not support PostgreSQL. So I had to try to switch the database to SQL Server Express. No luck. I un-installed Plastic SCM. I re-installed Plastic SCM. I pointed it to the new plasticd.lic file during installation. Yet, when it starts I get the error message: "Cannot retrieve license information from the Plastic SCM server". As advised by searching this forum. I stopped the server service, deleted the old plasticd.lic file. Copied the new one I was given into the plasticscm5\server folder. Started Plastic SCM again. "Cannot retrieve license information from the Plastic SCM server". There should be some human readable identifier in the lic file. Please tell me what to do/check next. myearwood
Never mind. I figured it out. I had the client and server using different login types.
myearwood
Also, the IP address on my machine changed, so the client could not find the server.
