LaserCannon
Hello, I have hit a really scary issue: A team member who is working in checkin mode was ready to check in his changes. He was working off of master though, so we decided to shelve his changes and move back to a branch he was previously working on. Only then we realized that he CANNOT apply the shelve since he is connected directly to the cloud. Even when we went back to the changeset he was using before, we got the same message saying "merges not supported on cloud". First of all, is there a workaround to get these changes back? Also, I am really confused as to why this feature doesn't work. Why do we need to use the cloud to apply shelves? Why can't the local machine handle that? We are in a tight spot here, as he had many changes that were lost when we shelved them, and we need to move forward on this project. A quick response would be greatly appreciated. Finally, for reference, this user is on a Mac. Thanks!
manu
Hi! Shelve shouldn't be used for the cloud server, It's out fault we didn't block the remote requests to this method but the documentation also says that the direct ci mode should only be used for the Gluon client. We are going to create a small tool able to retrieve the shelve date from the server, further details have been sent to your email. Sorry for the inconveniences.
